December CPI was 0.0% from (0.3%) in November. Ex food and energy CPI was 0.1% in December from 0.1% in November. On a 12 month rolling basis December CPI was up 1.7% while ex food and energy CPI was up 1.9%.

Per the table below, you are seeing a clear deflationary trend in discretionary purchases like apparel. Auto sales both new and used are also showing continued price contraction. The only signs of inflation are found in energy services such as electricity.
